Priority Brand by Safeway Stores

This is by far the best clumping litter I've ever used.

I normally change clumping litter every 2 weeks, but I can go for a month or more with Priority.
The clumps stay tight and don't crumble, even when dry. There is virtually no residue from crumbled clumps, so the litter always has a fresh, even look (and fresh smell)!

I love it!

Priority Litter
by: Nor

This litter used to be the best! I am so very upset because they have changed the consistency and it is now fine like sand on the beach! Not at all practical for multiple cats. They have lost one of their best customers because I was buying the 14 lb. size - 4 every 3 weeks and 3-4 in between my heavy cleaning. It used to be nice large pieces - now it is so fine, the cats get it all over their feet and track it all over the house - I am sick about this - why have they changed it - to save money - what?? I even called the phone number on the container to try to get some answers and all I got was "I'll check with our vendor." I never heard another word -- can't something be done about this??

Priority scoopable multiple cat formula
by: Anonymous

I thought I would save money and try the priority scoopable multiple cat formula cat litter. This cat litter does not work well. I love the price but frankly the product does not contain odor well. I have a cat who uses a covered litter box. I have used fresh step and tidy cat before with very good results. I need to watch my budget but guarantee that I will not use this product again. I almost threw away this litter but do not like to be wasteful. I clean my box every two days and have one cat who does cover things well in the box. There is odor present when I use this litter and I had to spray perfume... Not funny! I am back to using my old litter and I am much, much happier.

cheapest clumping cat litter priority?
by: Anonymous

What happened to Priority brand cat litter? It was by far the cheapest and accessibly, I could care less about toilet paper for me, what ever I get the most yardage is what I buy. Anyone know where this product went?

Consistency of litter
by: Ray Robinson

This company is not consistent. The heavier grit is great. It doesn't let the cats kick it out of the box as much and doesn't track as much. Then they changed to a finer grit and that's bad like the big manufacturers. Then today I bought 2 more containers and the heavier grit is back. Yippee!

This cat liter is the heaviest I have ever seen the cat can't move the liter around in the cat box i would never buy it aging. A five thumbs down on this one.

Used to love Priority cat litter
by: Fran

Hi I have used Priority Cat Litter for years and have not had a problem with it until recently. The 18kg Boxes of litter have been nothing but a real problem lately with clumping my cats urine, I have 4 cats and it has become a real problem with smell etc. We clean our litter boxes several times a day. Please bring back the original litter.

Pretty Good Litter
by: Anonymous

I like the unscented litter. It doesn't seem fair to make cats use heavily scented litter that must overwhelm them with the perfumed smell. It doesn't seem to track a lot either.

very dusty and dirty
by: Anonymous

I wanted to save money so I bought the safeway brand but ended up not using it. I opened the bag and found it to be very dirty and dusty. It's inexpensive, but not worth it. I'm going to continue to use Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Litter.

Priority 'Lighter' Litter
by: Lynne

I tried this with my cat. I introduced it V-E-R-Y slowly in combination with her regular litter.

This stuff produced a considerable amount of dust and, most important of all, my cat has now gone off using her litter box.

I just changed back to entirely her old litter and am hoping for the best.

As far as I am concerned, this was a total and complete disaster and I just threw the remainder of the package in the trash. It's lighter, yes... mostly because it will never enter my house again.
