Isolate Suspected Cat with Mange from Other Pets

by Anonymous Reader

My cat may have mange, and he's going to the vet tomorrow, Do I need to keep him away from the couches, beds, or my dog?

Editor Suggestion Cat Mange

Hi,

I suspect that you have already been to your vet and have the answer to your question based on what your cat’s diagnosis is. For anyone else who is interested, some types of skin problems in cats are contagious to other cats, animals and/or people and others are not.

It never hurts to isolate a sick animal until you can get him or her to the vet and find out exactly what is going on and whether or not isolation should be continued.

I hope your cat is recovering well.

Regards,
