FIV kittens Frequently Test Negative Later

(Little Rock, AR)

I've worked with a cat rescue for several years. We've found that most kittens born to an FIV mother will carry the antibodies, from the mother's milk, and consequently test positive for FIV. But after they stop nursing, eventually most that I've seen test negative at some point - within a few months.

We routinely mix our neutered FIV cats with non-FIV cats, without problems. I appreciate this article in Cat-health-guide, has a lot of good information. thank you!
